[this is good]
So glad to see more people helping to get the word out about this law!! I wrote about it, too:

I'm so worried about this law. I mean, not only will it put a lot of people out of business, but for me the cultural impact will be huge. A lot of Native people make their living selling traditional items that are intended to be used (I wore handmade beaded moccasins until I couldn't find them in my size anymore, and played with corn husk dolls) the way they always have, and this will hurt them as well. That's not even taking into account all the other groups who are trying to keep their cultural traditions alive.
And the switchboard is still busy. *sigh*

Ohh, you make teddy bears now? Do you take custom color orders? And could there be... Oh, I dunno... Bunnies in the works? :3 We are expecting out first and only kid in May.
Yes, I do make teddy bears! I have three custom orders in the works now. I've never made bunnies, though. This is the same traditional pattern I've been using for years and I've never taken the time to try to make patterns of other animals. I also make puzzle ball toys, too, so check my shop for those.

I've read articles saying they'll hold off enforcing this law on small businesses like ours for one year while they figure out what to do to accomodate us. That just means that during that year you won't have to pay hundreds of dollars to have each of your items tested, the way the law spells it out. But, in the meantime, if the local district attorney has reason to believe your items do contain the contaminants mentioned in this law they can still go ahead and prosecute. At least it shows that they're becoming aware of the problem and starting to look for solutions.

I made these as a protest and to help people spread the word:
